Abstract

The reliability of laminated plates subjected to in-plane random static loads is derived. The Hashin failure criterion for unidirectional fiber composites is used to establish the performance function. The Hasofer-Lind method is then applied and the reliabilities associated with the various failure modes are obtained. © 1990.
