Abstract
A general method is presented for analytical determination of the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the rectangular Mindlin plates, which take into account shear deformation and rotary inertia, by suitably generalized Bolotin's dynamic edge effect method. Extremely good accuracy in determining the frequency spectra is reported.
