Abstract

This paper reviews some methods for obtaining the probabilistic characteristics of the response of linear structural systems subjected to normal and non-normal generally non-stationary excitations. The methods here described take advantage fully of the theory of Markov diffusive processes. Additionally, numerical aspects are discussed in detail. Copyright © 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
