Abstract
The vibrations and identification of a fixed-free continuous double-walled carbon nanotube-based mass sensor are studied in this paper. This sensor is able to identify the mass of a single bacterium or virus out that may be attached to the DWCNT. A method for identifying the value of the attached mass to the inner or outer nanotube is developed by using a parametric identification technique. Furthermore it is also possible to locate the position of the mass attached to the DWCNT. © Civil-Comp Press, 2010.
