Abstract

In this study we perform comparison of two techniques of interval analyses, specifically the improved interval analysis by Muscolino&Sofi, and the parameterized interval analysis by Elishakoff&Miglis. Both analyses have been introduced into the literature with a view of reducing the overestimation that is characteristic of the classical interval analysis. It is interesting that both improved and parameterized approaches furnish, in cases considered, the overestimation-free estimates of the bounded quantities. © 2013 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
