Abstract

The Eringen's result for random vibration of the simply-supported Bernoulli-Euler beam subjected to the “rain-on-the-roof” excitation is extended to the beam placed on Winkler elastic foundation. The normal mode approach is utilized. The attendant infinite series are summed up in the closed form.
