Abstract

To Be Decided begins where most stories end, with the death of a young man named Zander. The story follows his journey into the afterlife where he meets a goddess of death, a young girl who is more than she seems and some other colorful characters along the way. The story addresses ideas of grief, what it means to be alive and what comes after. Heavy moments in the story are broken up by lighthearted comedy and moments of friendship between characters. The main character of the story Zander must decide if he wishes to rest peacefully after his sudden death or enter into the supernatural world of reapers and shadows. Helping him through his journey is a reaper named Ophelia, her familiar Mimi and his own ghastly partner Tadpole.
