Abstract

A neoclassical monetary growth model was estimated using U.S. annual data 1929-66. A survey of neoclassical growth theory was presented. The effects and implications of incorporating money into the neoclassical framework were investigated. Solow's monetary neoclassical growth model was simulated with the parameters estimated~ The effects of different growth rates of the nominal money stock, and expected inflation adjustment coefficient on the level of capital intensity and the stability of the model were compared and analyzed.
